What would you like to know?
Comprehensive Core comes as a four-capsule serving or a measured one-fluid-ounce liquid serving. They share many ingredients, but they are different formulas: for example, the reviewed liquid supplies 200 mg each of calcium and magnesium, while four capsules supply 150 mg each. Choose the routine you can use comfortably, then check the formula that goes with it.
Four capsules or one ounce: make a like-for-like comparison
A 120-capsule bottle contains 30 full servings, not 120. A quart contains 32 one-ounce servings. Those packages last about the same number of labeled uses, even though the containers look very different. The gallon changes the number of liquid servings; switching from liquid to capsules changes the formula too.
Mother Earth Labs Comprehensive Core

By Dr. Rich Prather, D.C. · Editorial review: October 23, 2026. Product panels reviewed October 22; official prices and product listings rechecked October 23, 2026.
Mother Earth Labs Comprehensive Core combines vitamins and minerals with plant blends, CoQ10, enzymes and other ingredients in one product. Its practical appeal is bringing several ingredient categories together in a single routine. The detailed tables below help you match its nutrient amounts and added ingredients to your priorities.
A full serving is four capsules or one fluid ounce of liquid. The difference goes beyond swallowing versus measuring: the mineral amounts, B3 entry, plant blends and some enzyme activities change too. This guide keeps those versions separate so you can compare the formula you would actually buy.
A useful label detail: both reviewed formats list 125 mcg (5,000 IU) vitamin D3 and 40 mg vitamin B6 per full serving. Read the intake and interaction considerations when planning how it fits with your existing routine.
Choose the exact format below. The gallon pump is sold separately.
Capsules — a counted daily serving

4 capsules make a full serving. The 120-capsule bottle provides 30 servings.

One fluid ounce makes a full serving. Start with a quart for a 32-serving bottle, or compare the 128-serving gallon below.
Buy Now — Liquid Dispensing QuartComprehensive Core capsules vs liquid: how do the formulas compare?
Four capsules list 150 mg each of calcium and magnesium; one ounce of liquid lists 200 mg each. Both formats list methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin B12. The capsule panel identifies NADH in its B3 entry and 25 mg tocotrienols, while the liquid lists niacinamide and a different set of plant blends. These are useful label distinctions when deciding which version fits your routine.
Compare the official capsule panel with the official liquid panel.
| Decision | Capsules | Liquid |
|---|---|---|
| Daily routine | 4 capsules | Measure 1 fl oz; shake and refrigerate |
| Travel and convenience | No liquid measuring; substantial pill count | Useful if swallowing several capsules is difficult; requires cold storage after opening |
| Formula comparison | Use capsule amounts and named forms | Use liquid amounts and named forms |
| Bottle choices | 120 capsules / 30 servings | Gallon 128 servings; each quart 32 servings |
Use the capsule count to judge convenience, and the nutrient columns to judge composition. Switching formats does not preserve every ingredient amount. That gives you two useful ways to choose: the routine you prefer and the ingredient profile that matches your priorities.

Other ingredients
The label states “DR Capsule.” It does not identify the shell polymer or every capsule-material detail; obtain that specification from MEL if it affects your choice.
For calories, sugars, carbohydrate, fiber or protein details beyond the photographed capsule panel, ask Mother Earth Labs for its current nutrition information.
How do the ingredient details help you compare?
Vitamins have specific nutritional jobs: B12 helps with nerve function and red blood cell formation; magnesium participates in normal muscle and nerve function; vitamin D supports calcium absorption. Those roles explain why the nutrients matter. They do not show that taking more will produce a noticeable benefit when intake is already adequate. NIH: vitamin B12; NIH: magnesium; NIH: vitamin D.
Core offers two named B12 forms. The panel names methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. NIH reports no evidence that supplement B12 absorption varies by form. This gives you a clear description of the formulation while keeping absorption and individual outcomes separate. B12 forms and absorption.
Keep nutrient amounts separate from other ingredient weights. In the capsule panel, the cardiovascular blend lists 200 mg magnesium malate as an ingredient, while the nutrient table declares 150 mg magnesium. The malate compound includes more than elemental magnesium. Adding the two numbers would overstate the declared magnesium dose.
Read the wider formula by ingredient category. Core brings enzymes, botanicals, amino acids and fatty-acid ingredients together with its vitamins and minerals. The declared amounts and activity units help you understand each contribution. When comparing it with separate protein or omega-3 products, use those products’ own serving quantities as well.
If you already take another multivitamin, a B-complex or vitamin D, put those labels beside Core’s before deciding to combine them. That comparison helps you see which ingredients overlap and how Core could fit into a well-planned routine. NIH’s guide to choosing a multivitamin explains why the choice depends on the person and total intake.
How do you take the liquid?
MEL directs one fluid ounce daily, followed by eight ounces of pure water; it may be taken with food. Shake well before every use—settling is normal—and refrigerate after opening. The liquid serving is two tablespoons, not a dropperful or an unmarked capful. Use an appropriate marked measure.
The Core liquid label says to use within one year of manufacture; it does not provide a separate after-opening interval. Do not borrow the pH Balancer six-month instruction for Core. Check the date on your actual bottle. The gallon is 128 labeled servings, so a one-person daily routine takes 128 days; a quart takes 32 days. Storage space and the remaining shelf life matter as much as the headline price.
How do you take the capsules?
The reviewed manufacturer panel defines a full daily serving as four capsules with at least eight ounces of water. A 120-capsule bottle provides 30 such servings. It says to use the capsules within two years of manufacture and to find that date on the bottom. These are the label’s directions; suitability still depends on your total intake and health context.
Availability: check the current gallon listing for stock and dispatch timing. A previously announced production date is not a delivery commitment for a new order.
Bottle sizes, servings and cost: which option fits your routine?
This is a dated price comparison, using MEL’s one-time prices checked October 23, 2026. It is not a current checkout quote. Cost per serving equals the listed bottle price divided by its labeled serving count; tax, delivery charges, discounts and subscriptions can change the amount you actually pay.
| Version | Full label serving / container | One-time price | Cost per labeled serving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capsules | 4 capsules / 30 servings (120 capsules) | $74.00 | $2.47 |
| Gallon | 1 fl oz / 128 servings | $234.00 | $1.83 |
| Dispensing Quart | 1 fl oz / 32 servings | $74.00 | $2.31 |
| Glass Quart | 1 fl oz / 32 servings | $80.00 | $2.50 |
| Round Quart | 1 fl oz / 32 servings | $74.00 | $2.31 |
The gallon offers value for a consistent liquid routine. At the dated prices above, four $74 quarts supply the same 128 servings as a $234 gallon: $296 versus $234. A separate $8 pump makes the first gallon $242, still $54 less than four quarts. But if you use only 64 servings from that first gallon, the purchase costs about $3.78 per used serving, rather than the table’s $1.89 per labeled serving.
At those prices, using about 105 servings from the gallon plus pump brings its cost per used serving below the $74 quart’s cost per serving. That calculation assumes each quart is fully used and excludes delivery charges. It is a way to judge likely waste and storage fit, not a reason to change the labeled dose.
The separate pump may make a gallon easier to dispense. MEL describes its Plastic Gallon Jug Pump as compatible with its gallon jugs and dispensing one ounce per pump. Confirm that output with a marked measure; it is a dispensing claim, not a reason to skip checking your serving. The dated price comparison includes $8 for the pump, which is not assumed to come with the gallon.
The dispensing, glass and round quarts each contain 32 fluid ounces. The dispensing bottle adds a measuring chamber; the glass option costs more, and the round option needs a separate appropriate measure. The reviewed gallon, dispensing, glass and round label panels list the same liquid composition per ounce; packaging changes convenience and cost, not the stated dose.
What should you check before choosing it?
Each full labeled serving supplies 125 mcg (5,000 IU) vitamin D3. That exceeds the general U.S. adult upper intake level of 100 mcg (4,000 IU) daily from all sources. A clinician may recommend more for a specific reason, but this is a reason to review total intake before starting. NIH vitamin D reference.
Core lists 40 mg vitamin B6 per full serving. For context, NIH reports an adult U.S. upper limit of 100 mg daily and a European Food Safety Authority limit of 12 mg. These are different risk-assessment limits, not dose targets. The P5P form does not remove the need to assess long-term total intake. Vitamin K2 also matters if you use warfarin. NIH vitamin B6 reference; NIH vitamin K interactions.
The labels advise consulting a healthcare provider before use, particularly if pregnant or nursing, taking medicines or other supplements, or managing known or suspected allergies. Keep out of reach of children. Bring the full ingredient list to that discussion. Liquid labels use broad terms such as flavors and natural preservatives without identifying every substance; ask MEL about a specific allergy rather than assuming those categories are allergen-free.
Questions about Comprehensive Core
What is Mother Earth Labs Comprehensive Core?
It is MEL’s all-in-one multivitamin and multimineral formula, available in capsule and liquid formats. The reviewed labels include vitamins, minerals, CoQ10, plant ingredients, amino acids and digestive enzymes. This guide compares the two formats and explains their serving and bottle choices. Source and further detail.
How many Comprehensive Core capsules do you take?
The reviewed label uses four capsules for a full daily serving, taken with at least eight ounces of water. A 120-capsule bottle therefore supplies 30 full servings. Check the directions on your current bottle. Source and further detail.
Are the capsules the same formula as the liquid?
The labels differ. Four capsules supply 150 mg each of calcium and magnesium, compared with 200 mg each in one ounce of liquid. There are also differences in the B3 entry, tocotrienols and plant blends. Compare full servings using the ingredient table rather than comparing a single capsule with an ounce. Source and further detail.
Does Comprehensive Core contain methylated B vitamins?
They name methylcobalamin as one B12 form and L-5-MTHF calcium as folate. They also list adenosylcobalamin, which is another active B12 form but is not itself a methylated form. Those distinctions identify ingredients; they do not establish that everyone benefits more from this combination. B12 form reference. Source and further detail in the ingredient table.
Does liquid Comprehensive Core need refrigeration?
MEL directs users to refrigerate after opening and shake well before every use. Its reviewed liquid label says to use within one year of manufacture; check the manufacture date on your bottle. A quart supplies 32 one-ounce servings and a gallon supplies 128. Source and further detail.
Is the gallon the lowest-cost liquid option?
At the checked one-time MEL prices, yes on a per-serving basis. The $234 gallon supplies 128 one-ounce servings, or $1.83 each. Adding the separate $8 pump makes the first-gallon total $242, or $1.89 per serving. The $74 round and dispensing quarts each work out to $2.31 per serving, before tax and shipping. Source and further detail.
